The Saiko-pod CD album features remixes by Miro, Atmos, True to Nature, Kruger and Coyle, Souzz, Air Bureau, Okyo, DJ Jokke and Ionizer.

The nine tracks on "Phutureremixes" are mostly unreleased, except for two twelve inches which came out in 2003 on the Swedish house label, ACDC. These two releases have been well received by many high profile DJs around world and featured on the latest DJ mix comps of John “00” Fleming, Seb Fontaine and Sandra

This is the first time all the Saiko-pod house remixes have been put together on one CD and “Phutureremixes” should find it’s way into the toolbox of any respectable club DJ.

Saiko-pod was formed in 1996 by Ian Ion and DJ Frank’e of Koxbox fame. Originally named Psychopod, the group released a number of high-octane trance tracks on the seminal T.I.P. label in London. In 2002 after a new musical direction and a new spelling, Saiko-pod released their first full-length album “Phutures and Options” on Solstice Music in Japan and Spiral Trax in Europe.

“P’n O” is a club-friendly cross-pollination of house music, trance and electronica and has worked out very successfully with audiences around the World. In 2003, Saiko-pod (now only with Ian at the helm) played a number of big events including Fuji Rock Festival with DJ Sasha and Optimus Hype Meco and Samothraki dance festivals in Portugal and Greece.

When Ian celebrated his twenty years anniversary as a recording artist last year, it was also a celebration of two decades of electronic music in many forms. As a founding member of some of the most noted Danish electronic bands: Russia Heat, The Overlords, Koxbox, Sri Hari, ConAmore and Saiko-pod, Ian has not only kept the innovative spirit alive but also enjoyed tremendous success in doing so.

Being a curios and prolific person, Ian has worked in many areas of the music industry including producing, composing, DJing, engineering, mastering, teaching, consulting work, visuals, promotion and sales.

As one of Scandinavia most skilled programmers, Ian has provided dance floor audiences with fuel for many a good night. Behind the scenes, Ian has worked for Sony Playstation, Roskilde Festival, Bang & Olufsen, Denmark’s Radio, TC Electronic, The Danish Music Academy and others.

Privately, Ian’s married to an Australian woman and the couple has a young daughter.

During the last ten years, Ian has toured extensively around the World and he is currently finishing a new studio album for Iboga Records while making sure his daughter doesn’t steal the whole show!
